What`s Happening Around the Community...
TENNIS, TENNIS, TENNIS! Partnering with Advantage Tennis Academy, we are pleased to offer tennis lessons for all ages and all skill levels at the MDLCA tennis courts beginning in June. Please bring your own racquet; balls will be provided.
NEW MDLCA MEMBERSHIP cards are in and available for purchase. You can buy one online (click online payment tab at top of this page and pay through Paypal), mail in the page from your Pathways newsletter, or purchase one at any of our events. Memberships help with many things including: lighting of the rink through the winter (the rink was in use from November through March), maintenance on our building, sponsorship of many events like Picnic in the Park, Easter and Christmas parties, etc. They are only $30/year/household and we need your support.
COMMUNITY HOUSEHOLD CLEAN UP MAY 25th: Hey Neighbors! Your Marquis De Lorne Community Association is pleased to invite you to bring all your 'treasures' that you've been keeping in your garage or basement over the winter to the Community Hall parking lot (6 Copperstone Way SE) on Saturday, May 25 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. sharp. Clean up your alleys, yards and local green spaces. The City of Calgary packer trucks will be on site to take your trash. There will also be recycling services on site to take your recycling including electronics. This service is offered FREE to all residents. We will NOT be able to accept any household chemicals, car batteries, oil, propane tanks, paint, animal carcasses, or any other hazardous materials. Please call the City information line at 3-1-1- for the nearest drop-off location for these items.
New MDLCA memberships will be available for purchase that day for the 2013/2014 year to give you an opportunity to support your Community Association. They are only $30/year/family and valid from June 1, 2013 through May 31, 2014.
Thanks to City of Calgary Animal & Bylaw Services and Waste & Recycling, Hopewell Residential and Foothills Disposal for their partnerships with us.
We are still looking for a few more volunteers to help with this event. If you are available to help, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll be in touch with you.
