Hello Copperfield & Mahogany Families!
Your community association – Marquis De Lorne (MDLCA), is looking for volunteers to assist in our upcoming Casino at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino (#1000, 11500 – 35 Street SE, Calgary) on Friday, September 9th and Saturday, September 10th . As a community association we are granted one (1) casino every 18 – 24 months and these funds raised help lower costs of community programs, maintenance of the building for rentals, hockey/tot rink(s), basketball court as well as the tennis courts and allow social events which include the annual Picnic in The Park and Movie In The Park. We typically raise between $60,000 and $80,000 for the association during our casino and without volunteer help we would not be able to raise money for our communities (Copperfield and Mahogany).
We are looking for approximately 50 volunteers for the two days, volunteer shifts include day shifts from 11:00AM – 7:00PM and evening shifts from 7:00PM – 4:00AM. If you have ever wanted to see behind the scenes of a casino this is a perfect volunteer position for you!! The MDLCA will pay for lunch/dinner at the casino and babysitter (if required) so you can have a day/night out of fun. Why not make it a date night with your significant other!! Please see below a list of positions as well as descriptions available;

The cashier reports to the banker and works with the general manager, banker, financial control supervisor, advisor, and casino players.
Position: Chip Runner - The chip runner opens and closes tables, delivers chip fills from the banker to game tables, delivers credits from game tables to the banker and may assist the general manager with other duties. Position: Count Room - Count room volunteers take on one of four possible jobs:
1. Sorter: Sorts all cash or chips by denomination
2. Counter: Counts the sorted cash or chips, by denomination
